Today I was awarded the annual Travel and Culture Stipend from the City of Umeå, to the amount of SEK 15.000, with the motivation (in translation):
Freyr is awarded the stipend for his enourmously many-facetted musical creativity. For the last two years Freyr has collaborated with over 30 musicians and been involved in arranging at least 16 musical events in Umeå. He has also received the highest praise for his music from national and international critics. Through his music, Freyr has contributed to the strengthening of Umeå’s status in Sweden and the World as a City of music and culture
